other half has upgraded to an iPhone 5 but didn't use option of 'new device' and clicked 'restore from last backup' was this right or wrong thing to (He's having ' moment' about it)

The other half upgraded to an iPhone 5 yesterday and when he plugged into iTunes, he clicked the 'restore from last backup option' instead of 'new device' option. He's now having a mini panic that he did the wrong thing....( Btw the phone works fine.)
