Send it to apple for repair

Hi!.

I've had my iPhone 4S for less than a year and now the speaker that I use during a phone call isn't working. The phone is also incredibly slow. Even slower then my friends iPhone 4.

Should I send it for a repair? And am I getting charged for much money if I do?
