Photostream disappeared

Hi all,

I have just had my broken iPhone replaced, and when I sign into iCloud only the 9 most recent photos are displaying, when I had hundreds on my previous phone. Can anyone tell me where the rest have gone as I'd be extremely upset to lose them.
