iPhone 5 and iPad 3 won't update

I ignored the software update released in Jan and now can't update to iOS 6.1 let alone 6.1.2.

Both iPhone and iPad have the same error message whenever I try...

"iOS 6.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the Internet."

I am, however, connected to a working WiFi connection.

Anyone else having this problem or have any solutions?
