My iphone wont charge or turn on

     Ive had it just over a year and don't have apple care (foolish i know). i've tried the steps apple recommends and still nothing.

I fell asleep when my phone was on 70% woke up and it was dead and will not charge at all. I have no idea why....

If anyone knows how much it'll cost to get this fixed (if i can) or if anyone has any ideas to get it working again it would be greatly appreciated!
