How bi-directional sync between Outlook 2007 and iPhone 5

Synch works fine for me from Outlook 2007 to iPhone 5 via iTunes, but Calendar appointments, Contacts and Notes created on the iPhone do NOT sync back and appear in Outlook.

Here are the details of my set-up:

I’m using a brand new iPhone 5 iOS 6.1.2

I'm using iTunes 11.0.2.26

I'm using a PC laptop with Windows 7 and Outlook 2007 syncing to iPhone 5 via USB (not wireless).

I use Outlook as a personal application so I do not use an Outlook server.

I use Outlook for Contacts, Calendar, and Notes; I do NOT use Outlook for email, I use Gmail for email.
