New contacts added

I upgraded to the iphone 4s and gave my iphone 3 to a friend. I kept my sim card but somehow since she has started using the phone I am getting all of her contacts added to my phone.

Does anyone know why and what I can do to stop it and also how to delete these peoples' numbers from my iphone.
