Music stuck on repeat on iPhone

Whenever I play a tune, even from a playlist, it is stuck on repeat.  I have seen threads regarding this problem, which point you to the "now playing" screen where you can toggle some arrows on the time remaining bar, which removes the repeat....but my now playing screen on my hone is not showing me a bar... I simply have a BACK arrow on the top left hand corner, the title of the song and an album cover toggle on the right hand side....  Can anyone help me please?????
