App Store app shut down after iOS 6.1.4 update

Hey there, I just upgraded iPhone 5 to iOS 6.1.4 but now my App Store cannot connect? I am able to use Safari and any other app to get online just fine, but the App Store just tries to connect for so long it tells me failure to connect each time. A friend's iPhone had a working App Store so local connectivity to the Taiwan store should be ok, and the only thing different seems to be the update. Please look into this and if I'm missing some sort of setting please let me know, thanks!
