HT4061 No MEID iphone 4

I have looked everywhere from Setting > General > About, to iTunes click Phone number, to looking at the back of the SIM card tray, the MEID number is never displayed.  The only number I get is the IMEI. I'm trying to add this iPhone 4 to an exsisting Verizon Wireless plan.  It has been successfully unlocked legally by AT&T.  Verizon insists that it needs this MEID to add the phone to my account, but the only number I have to give is the IMEI.  I read that the MEID for certain iPhones is the IMEI without the last digit, but that yields no results as well.  Are there any other ways to find this number or is Verizon sending me on a wild goose chase???
