I got an old router to use as an access point for my old 'G' devices so my main router could host an 'N' only wireless network and speed up the performance of all my N enabled devices (3 iPhones, iPad & Apple TV). Got the G access point up & going no problem, then switched the other over to N-Only, and suddenly none of my iDevices can connect at all. I've searched around and the only solution that was suggested is ensuring that WMM is on; which it is already. Switching back to mixed N/G mode allows them to connect, but isnt going to get me the improvement I want. Additionally, my router has a 'greenfield mode' that I can enable to completely remove support for old B?G devices and improve performance further; oddly, I can set the network to mixed mode, but enable greenfield, and my devices connect.
