battery iPhone 5

I updated my iPhone 5 to IOS 6.1.2 on Feb 24th...Several days after that, I noticed the battery was draining quite quickly.

Up until this point I could normally get through an entire day using it regularly without running out of juice.

The other day I had to drop by the local Apple store to pickup an extra charger so I could charge my iPhone at work as it was dying by lunchtime.

Having to charge my phone twice each day is becoming monotonous and slightly rediculous. Oh, and the phone is a lot hotter than it used to be.

This is the first problem I've run into with this device so it's dissapointing. I'm hoping someone out there can lend some advise on this.

Thoughts??
