New iPhone 5 photos/text messages erased when backed up from previous iPhone 5 help

I was on vacation and jumped into the pool with my iPhone 5 in my pocket, so I bought another iPhone 5 to replace it.  I took a bunch of great pictures on vacation after getting the new phone and when I got home and plugged my new phone into my computer I mistakenly allowed it to restore my phone to the old phone, which erased all my vacation pictures and newer text messages, etc. since I bought my new phone.  How do I get all the newer pics/texts/etc put back without erasing the pictuers from the "older phone" pics/etc?  Thank you!
