TS2972 New to Itunes and Iphone

I cant get anything I have downloaded from Itunes to show up on my Iphone. The itunes on my laptop shows all my games and music but not on my phone. I am wondering if maybe you have to sign in to Itunes on your phone and if you do how do you do that? Too I get the games to transfer over to my phone. I do have home sharing open on both my pc and phone. LOST!
