Other memory in iPhone

Hi all,

I am currently experiencing a problem with my iPhone 4 where there is 2.5GB of "Other" memory taking up my phone. I am currently on iOS 5.1, with iTunes 10.6.1. I have tried restoring my phone in the iPhone menu (on iTunes), unfortunately, after restoring, there will always be 2.5GB of "Other" memory lingering on my phone, along with photos etc.

I know that on average, the other memory should only take up around 0.5GB, so why is it taking up so much memory? I have a suspicion that this data may be resulting from corrupt data in one of my apps, but I do not know of any methods to completely wipe the data in one particular app, so if anyone could tell me of such a method, please tell me!

If anyone could help me, I would be really grateful! It's extremely annoying that I have had 1/5 of my iPhone's capacity taken up by data which I can't remove!
